I not a big fan of tilting the camera for no real reason. I noticed that your camera is having a hard time keeping the highlights on his face in range or in check... dynamic range is an important property of all file/digital sensor systems... the less the dynamic range, the more easily highlights can get clipped. There is no return from a blown out highlight... as on his face. When you try to darken it, it just turns a blank gray. What kind of camera/phone are you using?
The 7 should be able to handle this... tap on the screen where the highlight is on the face..that will reduce the exposure so as not to blow out those focal point areas... next, swipe in on the phone to get more of a zoomed in, frame filling portrait... do try again...
