One of the main goals of the assignment is for you to learn to see the world a bit more abstractly and to use the elements of line and geometry (this week) to create a composition which has a good focal point, which also is the source of light. Including sky in your shot weakens that possibility greatly... Here is a quick edit of one of your shots to show you how editing can help you achieve that...
I cropped out the sky, brought a bit more light into the window and darkened the sidewalk... see how this is stronger? Your other pictures suffer from being too far away, including sky, or shooting an object as a record such as the bell tower or tilting the camera without it helping the shot...
You should shoot at least 50 images then edit them for light, focal point and composition in order to post your best 6-10 here... You have until Sunday night to do this if you'd like to try some more...
